I have an early (20 year old) MTH DCS which has worked awkwardly but nice. Over the last year the remote does not turn on easily and now fails to turn on at all. It is not a battery issue as I have opened the unit and measure 6.3 Volts at the board. Any suggestions? Does anyone repair these? The TIU operates perfectly. If this system is so obsolete that it’s not serviceable what are the alternatives to operate 2 Proto 2 MTH loco systems on the same track? Thank you in advance. Bill

If the remote is dead, can you download the app?
This is one of the main reasons I left DCS for other open DCC in Blunami.

You would need the WIU to use the APP. I use the app and have had no issues with it. Though I haven't upgraded to the latest version that I hear may have some issues.

I forgot about the forthcoming combine TIU/WIU. It was supposed to come out like 3 years ago.
If my tiu breaks I will just run conventional.

Look around as my dealer has a bunch of them in stock...at least a case of them.
