My trolley appears to have failed. Too cold to golf in the AM, so I will crack it open and see what I can see.
in the event I cannot fix, I need a small trolley that can negotiate O-27 and has an E unit. No bump and go.
what is available?

MTH seems to have a nice streetcar offering. Lot's of stuff on the bay. Saw a PS2.0 version that looked nice.

Western Hobbycraft made a really nice trolley. There is one listed on eBay now. Atlas also made a nice looking trolley that is a lot less expensive.

That is exactly what I have, Brian. I knew “western” was in the name. It appears that the electronic E unit has failed.

I could not agree more on the Western Hobby Trolley. Many years ago I posted my hope that Lionel would have acquired the tooling and moved forward on a trolley project by keeping the trolley as is, but adding the TMCC (now Legacy) system. I have three, Chicago (RED), Johnstown (Orange) and Philadelphia (Green). I also had the foresight to purchase extra trolley poles when they came up for sale. Here is an old shot of the Chicago trolley on my layout. Charlie

Need to find a way to get mine fixed. Beyond my capabilities.

Charlie, that is a really nice trolley. I have been looking at street cars for a little while now. Might take the plunge.
Gary.

Guy that was western hobbycraft passed away a while ago. No new trolleys.

Yes, to what Forrest stated above, Western Hobbycraft is no longer in business, so finding one of these great trolleys will need to be done on the secondary market. This was the reason for the comment that I was hoping someone would pick-up the tooling and remanufacture the line with updated electronics.

There is a western hobbycraft trolley on eBay. It looks like it needs a good cleaning.

The MTH PCC trolley will run on O27 curves and has PS 3.0 with passenger announcements.
