I just received my order from Scenic Express. I am very happy with all I received. I will be ordering from Scenic Express again and our other corporate sponsors. I bought more vent pipes, a brick chimney and 2 factory smoke stacks. Now to build some factories.

Thanks Joe. At first I was disappointed because the red brick smoke stacks were sold out, but I can build 2 small factories and match the paint. All red brick would be boring.

Scenic Express is a terrific supplier, and they always have an impressive booth in the Orange Hall at York. I'm using them almost exclusively for many of the scenery supplies for the big scenic enhancement at the one end of my layout, where I'm converting Standard Gauge shelving into a vertical cliff backdrop for several spans of arch bridges. Whether it was trees, ground foam or scenic walls, Scenic Express was the natural place to choose.

Scenic Express is a terrific supplier, and they always have an impressive booth in the Orange Hall at York. Yes, indeed they do. Last time I was at York I was browsing their multi-scale stock of passenger figures and happened across one I could not resist, which then got a totally whimsical place in one of my passenger car interiors: Of course this is Queen Elizabeth II doing her famous royal wave. This and other figures I got are of European manufacture, probably by Preiser, and as true O scale they are a bit big for 3rail cars from Lionel or MTH. BTW, Queen Liz has something of a history with special trains. Back in about 1947, she and her sister were photographed obviously having fun with the whistle in the cab of a South African steamer pulling their royal express:
