One of our newer members asked us to show our layouts. I took these photos tonight (February 18) after spending some time running trains. This is my layout as it is today. It’s built in an E shape and fills my train room. It’s located in what was supposed to be our den in our Florida home and it’s 10’9”x20’4”.
These photos are the east end of the layout. This area features my city.
These tracks transition from the city to the tunnel and the raised residential area.
The lower main is under the residential area.
The lower main exits the tunnel in this industrial area featuring a team track with a covered platform, a warehouse and a milk platform. The hobo camp is on the right of the second photo.
The track curves around to the passenger platform and the Gitchee Goomee Noonie WaWa campground. The small freight station is in the foreground by the lake.
The last curve leads to the west end of the layout featuring a small town and factory. The Right Track Baptist Church, train store and ice cream shop represent a small portion of the town.
Thats my whole layout. Let’s see your layout.

A nice, neat layout Joe. Just enough track and scenery to achieve that fine balance! Here is my non-layout…😉 I don’t have one yet…..☹️ Tom

Thanks Tom. I hope you are able to build a layout soon, even if it’s a small one. You need a place to run all those fabulous cars and engines you’ve been upgrading, painting and lettering.

I don’t have a permanent layout either. Until about a year ago I had a table top circuit built on a ping-pong table, and although it saved my knees from getting down on a tiled floor both the room and the boards on which the track was placed were too small. I’ve reverted to temporary floor circuits in another room. I was able to run my long SP Fantasy Excursion Train on the table, or at least the smokin’ 5 SP engines that pull it. Here’s a video short of that:

Here is a video showing my layout. It’s a a few weeks old but it is mostly the same. The main difference is the new expansion area.

This is some pretty awesome stuff, love seeing all of it! You all got some great layouts, I'm getting some good ideas from them.

This was before I painted the wall blue. I ran a lash up or a MU.

At present there isn't much to show, so far just loops in standard gauge are complete, if you look closely you will see the engine is missing it's drive train, I got it in and it would only go into forward every other time it was suppose to, so sent that part back to the seller for repair.

Country Joe, nice layout - thanks for the text description, very helpful. Andy, Adam, Denny, thanks for the videos. JD - looking forward tou your updates. As for my layout - it is currently indisposed, and not quite ready for photos - prinmarily track and accessories - not much in the way of buildings or scenery - a work in progress. None the less, it is operating fully. Alfred
