OK, this video has only a slight relationship to trains. We added Department 56 Christmas Market buildings to our layout. Then we traveled to Germany and Austria to see the real thing in person. While we were there we acquired Christmas decorations. Those decorations are unboxed in this video. I post it here just for fun.

We loved the video of your trip and definitely put it on our bucket list, but now I'm not sure so sure, Donna loves nutcrackers so I would feel pretty lucky if I only had two boxes following me home from that trip. Another great video Emile and Jennifer.

Thanks. There is so much to choose from. Things it's hard to find back home. I would definitely take an empty suitcase and some bubble wrap.

We both sit down and watch whenever you open boxes, always a surprise and joy to see. This is extra special since Diane also collects NutCrackers from Germany. Next Christmas we will have to show them. I was surprised to see written on side of box, "Schoner Kann Holz Nicht Sein" in English rather then German. Wonder if when they ship outside of Germany they use different language boxes?

I watched it on YouTube yesterday and it was incredible. The Nutcrackers is only the beginning. There is much more to see. I have always been a fan of glass Christmas balls from Germany and the surrounding area. They are the best. Thanks Emile and Jen for posting.

The craftsmanship of those nutcrackers seems to be very good. And always fun to watch you both in your videos. Now I have a hankering for some peanuts.

Emil and Jennifer, Thanks for sharing about your trip. The ornaments will make a nice addition to your Christmas tree, and the nutcrackers will make good holiday display pieces. Alfred

Wonder if when they ship outside of Germany they use different language boxes? That's a great point! Why were these boxes adorned with ENGLISH? I'm going to send an email to the Store in Austria and ask if they have separate "English" boxes for Nutcrackers being shipped to the USA. Thanks for pointing that out.
