Post by eddieg on Jan 26, 2023 at 3:53pm I don't care if the major dealers are there or not. I am a prewar & postwar collector 1917 to 1969. There are 5 buildings of pre & postwar 1900 to 1969 trains.
I have never been to a York meet. If you are interested in particular post war Lionel loco/ rolling stock/ accessory, how do you locate it w/o going through all of the exhibits>? Is there a way of finding out specific info ahead of time? Alfred

Relatively new to the hobby. What are the “bandit shows” before York? The bandit meets are events held at local hotels, inside and in the parking lots, that are not affiliated with the York Meet or the Train Collectors Association. It’s private sellers and some vendors selling mostly pre and postwar trains and a little modern items taking advantage of the crowds assembled in the area for the York Meet.
They aren’t as prevalent as in years past, after the TCA Eastern Division added Thursday to the Meet several years ago. But you can still find some bargains.

I hope to see more new and used MTH locos, in O and Standard Gauge.
Last time I saw mostly postwar Lionel everywhere…not my cup of tea.

Craig, Is there a particular vender that you are interested in, or just look around to find the MTH locos? Alfred
