Great video.
My wife grandfather worked for the Rock Island Railroad, he was in charge of the dining car that ran from downtown Chicago to Peoria, he was in charge of all the employees and purchasing of food and everything associated with the dining car, he had some pretty cool stories, a lot of the people that worked under him stayed with the Rock Island, did not change jobs very often. He gave me his personal phone directory that had a lot of people associated with him on the Rock Island.
Later on he got my father n law a job in the repair shop in South Side of Chicago, just east of the Dan Ryan expressway, my father n law worked there for about 4 years, but did not stay as he said it was not his cup of tea, and was a lot of talk about going out of business because of money troubles.
