Wood, thanks for the great pictures and videos of Gordon's wonderful layout. Getting together and running trains with friends is great fun.

Thanks Wood. Looks like fun and a neat layout. Have you tried being the man in the middle?

Thank you Spice, Laz, Brian and Joe. The trains on Gordon's layout run through a very interesting rotation. Lot's of elevations, mountains and bridge passages. It is very interesting to watch and it is completely detailed. His collection of artifacts is also quite interesting. From old BB guns to a mint Lionel 763E, standard gauge, prewar, postwar, multiple operating accessories, lanterns and a host of documents. A lifetime of collecting. How cool....

Thanks Wood. Looks like fun and a neat layout. Have you tried being the man in the middle? I would not dare... Too many twists and turns. He runs modern engines in conventional mode and has a timer to coordinate the units. He starts them all on a lower track and gets them to run the loop in 1 minute, switches that one out, starts another and times it to the minute marker, etc. Not one "Train Wreck"! Then there are two Lift bridges and one basilica bridge that are on timers that activates them up, then they have to drop down when the train approaches.

Great videos and pics. Love the operators "turret" seat and to hear the chatter. You can tell everyone was having a good time.
