After two weeks (we decided to go for two instead of one) at the lake fishing, relaxing, enjoying the peace and quiet and avoiding computers I am back at work and back on the best forum on the net.
Our morning coffee view from the back deck for the last two weeks. Sunrise on Lake Palestine.

Dave, Glad you got to extend the vacation. What was the weather>? Catch and release, or did you fry? Alfred Well Dave 14 days in Texas in October will get you a bit of everything. The hottest afternoon 92 coldest morning 37 and everything in between most of the on the water time it was mid 70's which is ideal. We also had two days of rain and the wind always blows in Texas so we are used to that. We caught, filleted and froze a mess of Crappie We always practice catch and release with Bass. We also checked off a few more stops on the Piney Woods Wine Trail.

That sunrise picture brings back memories. Its what I looked forward to as well as sunsets on the farm. Same for when we had our cruiser on the ocean, seeing the sun come up over the blue of the water or set in west on an ocean of orange. Here were I live, it gets light and it gets dark without ever seeing the sun rise or set. Your a lucky man to see these and catch them.

It looks like a good time. I miss living in Galveston. The coldest it got was about 40 degrees.
