NEO Scale Models were one of the 1st to issue resin models on a larger availability. I believe there were a few other manufacturers around, but their models were very limited and somewhat pricey. When NEO began issuing resin models that changed as they were now available to far more collectors. When I discovered 1:43 scale, NEO was one of the 1st I looked into, with some of the first models added in my collection were from NEO. Unfortunately, one of the biggest concerns with resin models is the shedding of chrome PE parts, NEO's were among the worst, so for a few years I stopped making any purchases from them. With my repair skills improved, and NEOs quality as well, they are now a brand I consider adding once again. Although, the new releases from NEO have almost stopped.
This Imperial is a recent acquisition, long discontinued, but made available from Route 66 Models in Buz's "Fabulous Model Car Friday" special sale. As I said before, the '57 to '63 Imperial models are huge favorites of mine, I will usually snap up everyone I find, and this one does not disappoint. 1957 Imperial Crown Southampton Hardtop Sedan - Horizon Blue & Cloud White
