These clips are whats called Hollywood stock clips/files. What they were used for was showing trains arriving and departing, etc. They were then inserted into the final cut of movies. This way they didn't have the expense and time needed to film for each film these scenes. These clips are SF arriving in Los Angeles. What's interesting is the different types of consist of passenger cars, some heavyweights, Pullmans mixed in with streamlined cars, etc. Toward the end, the clip shown would be a backdrop in which actor would be filmed in front of the departing train all shot inside a studio. I enjoyed it.
