What are some of the unusual train cars your lineup? This is the Golden Gate Depot 2012 rendition of the PRR Theater - Scenery car. These unique cars were designed for carrying large Broadway Show scenery sets to various cities and had end doors in addition to large side doors for easier loading and unloading. These cars also saw occasional service carrying bulk mail when not being used for scenery sets.

Well, I don't actually have this car and I don't think that it's ever been done in O scale rather than HO or N, but I'd kill to have one. It's the UP Excursion/Heritage Fleet power car #2066, which as the photo shows is absolutely huge both horizontally and vertically:
Lionel put a "generator" car in with the first run of ABS plastic UP Excursion Car sets but it isn't a patch on the real thing.
BTW, that theatrical equipment transport car is a beauty in terms of detail! I assume that it is brass?

The UP power car would be awesome! Someone needs to make it. And Yes the theater scene car is all brass. Theoretically it could be scaled up in 3D printing from existing small scale models - but Lionel does not make a frame long enough! They're not listening anyway . . .

Emil, very cool car. For me, not very unusual: I’ve have a Lionel 2460 (six-wheel trucks, 1948) and 6560(1955) Bucyrrus Crane Car. I got them both in need of repairs in a lot of trains from an online purchase in about 2006, when I was getting serious about the hobby . I did not realize that these were there. The lot included an S2 Turbine. There was some good early post war items in the lot) I don’t recall what interested me in this particular bid; in any case, it ended up being a ‘steal’. I asked a local repair guy to fix up the 2460 by taking a missing boom wheel from the 6560 and some other parts – he fixed both. I have not figured out what set the rolling stock came from. None the less, one crane car will be run, and the other positioned in a work area on the layout. Alfred

These are the most unusual train cars I have. I'm pretty sure the flat car with missiles is a reproduction of a Lionel post war car. I have 2 of them. I don't know if the flat car with rocket is a reproduction or not. These are fantasy cars but part of my Army train along with more realistic Railking flat cars with Army loads.
