This week we received an Amazon catalog in the mail, a "kids holiday gift book" titled 'Share the Adventure'.
I grew up like many of us - some kind of Christmas catalog always showed up. Naturally, I skimmed through it.
Even the old catalogs had at least a train set or two (mostly HO in recent decades), but not a train to be had in the Amazon book except Fisher-Price's 'Thomas & Friends' range. Good move on Amazon's part - having a kid-oriented wish book with stickers and puzzles even in this online-oriented world (including theirs). Star Wars, Disney Princess, Lego, you name it, it's in there.
I think the train hobby industry could have jumped on this particular catalog bandwagon, but seems to have dropped the ball.
