Nice day trip!
I remember living in Central PA. Hershey / Hummelstown was only about 30 minutes away.
Very cool!

Great photos. I love Strasburg. There is an Amish buffet not to far from there. The food is excellent.

Sounds like a great day. I have not been there in decades. What are they running these days? What caught your attention in the Barn and the Museum? Alfred

Great pics - thanks! What's the story on that neat old-time passenger car? Dave

Thanks guys. Strasburg is my happy place.
The picture of the passenger car is the “Marian Car”, it was the car I rode in that day, and it was the last car on the train. Most all of the cars are painted just like this one, and they are kept in very good condition, they are probably in the best shape of any scenic railroad I have ridden on, maybe in better shape than they ever were even back in the day.

Many fond memories of many Strasburg visits over the past 47 years. We live only a one hour drive away. We also spent many nights with my kids, then their kids, at the Red Caboose Motel. The last time was just 3 months ago. The photo was taken in 2011 showing some of my grandkids. My "train buddy" is the youngest boy, Luke. Next to him is his sister Sophia, who just started high school.

I love that place. I used to live about 40 minutes away and was there a lot. Sometimes to ride the train, have lunch in the diner car during the ride or to just sit and watch the trains and take in the wonderful treasure that the Strasburg Railroad is. Now I only get there when I come out for the York Meet.
Hey Craig! When I come out in April we'll have to ride the Presidential car again!
