Well friends, I rolled my right ankle and fell, then blew my left knee when trying to get up. Doctors appointments, xrays, MRI and possible surgery on the horizon. The worst part is not being able to finish my layout.

Falls are tough. You have plenty of time to finish your layout, Vince. Juts get better.

I live in fear of exactly this sort of accident - I've become more accident-prone with greater age. But Vince I wish you a very speedy recovery from this mishap.

Yes, as we get older, its not the fall but the bones aren't what they were. A few weeks back we were at the boat dock, idiot me instead of walking around the ramp, jumped over the wall. Yup, fell on my knee and the first though was I had broken my knee cap. I was lucky, just cut up but the pain was the worse and made me think I had broken my knee cap. Lesson learned, its not the short cuts that get you there. Vince, a speedy recovery to you.

Vince, a speedy recovery to you. First I wish that chipset35 enjoys a safe and complete recovery. .
Must agree with Walt that as we age the body wears down making it far more important to have proper nutrition, keep weight down and be more careful as we walk. Just a couple of years ago it was easy for me to crawl under the layout table and wire things up. Now its a chore. Today with modern medicine that can provide gel steroid shots, even stem cell therapy there are paths to healing and wellness. Get well soon, you are not alone

It’s never the fall that is bad. It’s that sudden stop (or thud).
Vince, hope you’re on the mend soon and get back to layout building. Don’t worry, the trains will be there patiently waiting. 😉
