Here's another one I built for this past Christmas...a tree-stand with a tunnel running through it:

The rock carving looks good to my eyes. 👍

Awesome photos. I love the last shot showing the whole tree and layout. I assume from your avatar that you are an Austin Healey fan? There's a soft spot in my heart for them. A friend had a 3000 that we ran rallyes in and for a few years I raced a mark II Sprite in SCCA.

We have a 1967 Sprite (Mk IV), restored to stock two decades back. I've always been a Spridget fan; goes back to when I was a kid. Always figured it's about as close as you can get to wearing a car. Just deadly fun, even in factory form.

WOW . . . That's gorgeous!!! Do you get to drive it often? Have you ever done a tsd rallye in it? what's the badge on the grill? I couldn't make it out. Looks like a Royal Auto Club.

Thanks. It doesn't get driven as often as it used to, which is not good as lack of road-time leads to problems. Cars of this era need to be driven frequently to stay in form; otherwise issues start to crop up more frequently.
Have not rallied this car, but have in the MG-B (but not for a very long time). Not too many rallies around here anymore due to liability issues and the occasional knucklehead participant(s). The few local British car clubs seem to have all gone gentrified, so it would be tough to organize and run a decent TSD rally. There seems to be more interest in hanging out at the local winery than flogging cars.
The badge is an old Automobile Association (AA) tag from the late 1950s. I found it in a bin at a local antique shop.
For the purposes of this thread, the car has never been through a tunnel (at least while I've owned it).

Thanks all, glad to be here. Thoughts on another venue: An obvious pattern by the AD man clearly shows that many good modelers have been cancelled over the years by being opinionated or out of step with Mgmt. If you don’t pay your 12 bucks a year for a declining and boring forum, you’re on the chopping block. I noticed some long-term modelers are over here now. As long as Jerry Lundegaard is running the show, the participants will always be controlled.

Steve, your NYC subway modeling is top notch! Looking at your photos makes me feel like I’m in the city.
