What are we looking for here as far as posts since there aren't any yet? Are we looking for photos of collector's models? I have a lot I can share, or is this mainly for discussion about the subject of 1:43? or maybe both?

Any an all topics related to 1:43 vehicles are welcome. I've got some ideas myself, but haven't had a chance to execute.

Well excellent, let me get started with this one. Oh, by the way, I posted these photos on the Facebook page as well. It is waiting for Admin approval??
Like the Cadillac Eldorado, the Chrysler's Imperial division was a design and luxury leader. When Imperial received its own platform in 1957, the car was transformed, and for many, it was the leader in luxury. The 2nd Generation of the Imperial is my favorite. That exclusive platform ran from 1957 to 1966. For this collector, the '57 to '63 years are the best. The '64 to '66 is nice, but too Lincoln like for my tastes (although I wouldn't turn down a model of one)
It is these models from 1957 to 1963 that I look forward to adding to my collection. Each one I find is a special model and they possess all the luxury & class the 1:1 had. A few years ago, Great Lighting Models began offering models in these years. The 1st was offered in 2015, a 1958 Imperial Crown Ghia Limousine (photos on that and other Limos will be featured in an upcoming post) and then in 2018, GLM w/Tom Dirnberger Exclusives issued the '56 in a 2dr hardtop (more on that coming up too) In 2020, GLM/Tom Dirnberger issued the 1960 Crown Convertible in several colors, these were followed up by the '58, then the '61, and most recently the '59, all in Crown Convertible form (all of these are coming up as well) Even more recent, the '61 Le Baron Southampton Hardtop Sedan was issued in two colors with more coming soon. All of this leads to me to the post for today, these two models just arrived last week, and they might well be my favorite so far.1960 Imperial Custom Southampton Hardtop Coupe - Limited Editions, mine are both #01 of 60. They are finished in two colors with more coming.
Midnight Blue
      & Regent Ruby

Now I am patiently waiting for some of the '57, '62 & '63.

For you fellow Flyer fans, really nice M2 1:64 autos and trailers are available that this nit-picker loves. At train shows and eBay, the retail $7. is now higher...but still "cheap". As a owner of about 200 pricey 1:43 cars, I was thrilled to find 1955 Dodges and DeSotos. Try finding 1:43 versions for less than $100.!
