oace, nice collection. Alfred Thanks atsda ! Very modest, compared to what members like af3020 and healey36 have on their layouts... I'd be pleased one of these days to find the same electric engine as healey36 's - if it is an O gauge engine : For the moment, I am hesitating to acquire a sister to my LNER Green Blink bonny (upper), that is to say the BR Blue Papyrus (lower)... This evening, at Carpet Central Station... ... The LR Louis Roussy "La Montagnarde" Daphne Blue heading a small and light 6 trains cars. "La Montagnarde" can be considered as the French equivalent of the famous Lionel model 150. OACE

With all of the recent threads about Santa Fe diesels, I got motivated to dig out some of my ‘newer’ engines. If the phone is correctly oriented on the tripod, then the 2.5 minute video will show an eight box car consist headed by Santa Fe FA’s (not in freight service livery). The first two A units are powered and the third A unit is a dummy. The two lead engines are No. 218 from about 1960. Don’t look too closely, part of the apron is missing on the lead engine (and damage to others). I have the parts to repair them; however, I can’t find them. The powered A units each have a vertical worm drive motor. I am using a 1947 Lionel V transformer with voltage varying from about 14 to 18V. The E-units are not set to forward only position. One 218 was struggling to pull the consist, so I double-headed the units. They seemed to work well in tandem; however, I am not sure if they are optimally synched. I am still experimenting with the track plan; hence, the bare table top. Alfred (Let me know if the video showed anything.) youtu.be/fAERbc5m9b4

A terrific shot, Jim, including what appears to be an overflowing freight depot. The Lionel signal bridge looks right at home.
