Last time I was in Shanghai I rode the maglev train from the Longyang Road station in the downtown area of Shanghai to the Pudong airport. We cruised along at 268 mph, not nearly as fast as the Transpod is promised to run but still quite fast. I would love to hop on the Transpod and take a 600 mph ride on it if I could afford to.

I suppose our descendants will be building homemade maglev layouts - too quiet for me though! I'm IN Canada and I hadn't heard about Transpod! Go figure... Here's a guy who built a Bennie Railplane monorail for his layout....what? Never heard of it? Dave

That was some creative modeling. Couldn't quite figure out the track from the video. Seems like something Bing or Fandor would have done in the day.
