A short demo of the record mode on the Cab-2 remote featuring my GP35. The engine is running from the playback after I made the recording.

Pretty interesting. I have never used the recording system. Does it follow a recorded route or is it simply playing the recorded voice messages? Your layout is has grown and looks great.

The record function records button pushes, speed changes, and any user input. It can then repeat all the commands during playback, even loop them if wanted.

But only one recording at time... Unfortunately yes. I asked if they could store recordings on the memory modules and was told no. This was IMO short sighted.

The bummer of this feature is it never evolved. I was hoping it would record multiple files for different locomotives and a longer period of time.

Looks like a fabulous idea that has been poorly implemented.
I think that MTH has something similar. Any idea if that works better.

I tried recording two engines at once. The memory filled up very quickly. I didn't have enough memory to go once around the layout. When I recorded one engine I was able to do what you saw in the video.

Nice looking layout. What type of track are you using?

I have a 5x10 ft. layout with 027 track. I have 3 1/2 loops, 10 switches. I run a 2026 (my 1st. from 1950) a 2036 and a 1668.

Ever notice using this feature it tends to deviate over repeated uses. The engine command locations tend to change by a few inches

I have not used this with Legacy but have used the MTH version and that works great. Nice video Denny and nice Layout!
