I just heard that 2 guys had a fight in the blue hall and the police had to break it up. They were banned for the next 2 meets.

I didn’t see it either but I heard they both got 2 minutes for roughing, 5 minutes for fighting and a 10 minute misconduct!

Grown men fighting over toys!!! How immature can one get. If there was a problem with merchandise purchased just bring this to the attention of the TCA, the membership and have the member thrown out of the association. This was done in the past to a guy that bleached the color off of some hoppers and sold them as extremely rare line run oddities. The guys name was C.R. Anyone remember him? Problem solved.

This wouldn’t have happened if the two signature rule was left alone. (Sarcastic)

This wouldn’t have happened if the two signature rule was left alone. What was the two signature rule? From the beginning of the Train Collectors Association, to become a member you had to fill out the application and you were required to have two current TCA members sign your application as a confirmation that the members could vouch for your acceptance, basically. This rule was in effect from about 1954 until recent years when they abolished it after so many prospective members, and a lot of members themselves, howled that it was too restrictive and prevented the organization from growing. Also, it was getting to be worthless because there were a lot of members who would be one of the signatures for just about anybody even if they never met them before in an attempt to increase membership.
So the TCA members voted to get rid of it along with a few other rules to help increase participation in the TCA. However, it was not enough as membership numbers continued to decline even without the perceived restriction of getting two signatures on your application. But that's not much different than any hobby club or organization these days.

I didn't even know 2 people who owned O scale trains when I joined in 2016. Come to think of it, besides the people I see on these forums, I still don't know anyone else among family, friends, or co-workers who own any O scale trains. Wait, I might be making an argument for the elite nature of our kind. Nah. I'm thinking that at a show of a few thousand people the fact 2 of them could want to come to blows is probably within the realm of probabilities. On a different note, did anyone else think the coffee at the food stand was a little too strong?
