A few months after I bought my dream car-- a 2013 Ford Mustang in Grabber Blue, known affectionately as the "Blue Pony"-- I happened across a 1:43 scale diecast model of the nearly-identical 2012 Mustang at my local department store. I picked it up and took it apart for examination.
Red is a nice color but, in my opinion, not the best for Mustangs. I stripped off all of the paint with my bench grinder.
I had bought a touchup paint kit from AutomotiveTouchup.com to fix some rock chips on my car's hood and had the foresight to buy an aerosol spray along with it. The result was an exact replica of the Blue Pony in professionally replicated Grabber Blue.
The 1:43 scale Blue Pony has been wandering my train layout for the past 7 years, usually accompanied by this dapper gentleman who I tell visitors is the owner of my railroad.
The 1:1 scale Blue Pony goes wandering too! Here's a shot from my 2019 visit to Steamtown in Pennsylvania.
And also last year from my trip to the Lake Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad in New Hampshire.
So how about all of you? Do you have a model of "YOUR" car?

Nice project. Very fitting addition to your layout.
I have a few models on the layout for cars I have owned (Hummer & Viper).
