Well, with great anticipation, I went to the front porch to retrieve my box from Brooklin Models this afternoon. I noticed the delivery person left the box upside down on the porch - OK. When I got in the house I noticed the box was plastered with DHL REPACKED tape - Hmmm. Upon opening the repacked box, I was a bit concerned as the model box was at the top of the shipping box, with no peanuts between it and the top flaps. The cardboard sleeve had been rather hastily put back on, as it was slightly ripped. Well, carry on and see what we got, right? The model is in pretty good shape, excepting that the cowl antenna has moved forward. Being OCD, this of course bugs me to no end. So, I have an email in to Brooklin for advice on this, as I am afraid I will snap it clean off if I try to manipulate it. I appreciate Brooklin's attention to detail with mirrors and antennas, etc, but I have not had good luck with these bits making it safely to the USA. My NABCC Club Car #1 had a broken mirror. I actually prefer the nub style antenna as applied to a lot of models, and mirrors, meh, I can live without them. Otherwise the model is pretty nice. One small paint flaw on the back passenger fender. Maybe I can scare up a BCC Riviera, which I don't remember seeing an antenna on. I will be interested to see what other members encounter with the delivery of their Rivieras. Or if I just have bad luck getting models delivered intact.

Greg, with the antenna issue and the paint flaw, I would ask for a replacement model.
The NABCC Buick issues with the broken mirrors turned out to be an easy fix with the replacement mirrors sent to us. Even I could fix it easily.

Thank you Brian, I will wait to see what Brooklin says. Yes, My OCD jumped the gun, and I sold my NABCC Buick. I wasn't aware of Brooklin's renowned CS. I will see how they handle the Riviera before I attempt either fixing, or selling it...

Update on the Riviera. I contacted Brooklin yesterday just before dinner. When I checked my email this morning, I had a reply from Simon. He coached me about the antenna. The antenna is wire and actually quite pliable. After some test moves, I went for it and was very happy of the result. Now my OCD can rest easy and I can really enjoy the exquisite work that is Brooklin Models. Cheers.
