Harry's work was recently featured in the November issue of Great Model Railroads, the 2019 Holiday Edition. This is a Kalmbach publication and part of the Model Railroader offerings. This featured layout is 2-Rail O-Scale and owned by Lee Gasparik. Harry sent me the magazine and I was so impressed with the photos that include a lot of his work that I thought I would share them with you. This also helps promote our Platinum Corporate Sponsor, Classic Toy Trains, as they are also part of the Kalmbach family of publications. We look for every opportunity to spotlight them.
PRR H10 that Harry weathered.
The building is the Davenhar Heavy Repair that is Harry's structure.
The engine is a brass Max Gray 4-6-2 that Harry added over 300 brass details and weathered. The building is the Hyperion Station that is also a HH creation.

H10 Consolidation that Harry weathered.
Harry assembled this PRR Signal Bridge, weathered it and then added position lights and cast molds to create the concrete pillow blocks.

I don't generally read the Great Model Railroad books since they are geared more to the 2 rail scale crowd but I just might pick this one up. I hope Harry got credit in the story for his outstanding work.

Every time I see something Harry created or weathered, I have nothing but admiration for the Harry the artist of Model Railroading.

Beautiful work indeed!! When an era in time is represented on a model train layout the finished result can be spectacular. Way to go HH.
Gary.

Seriously impressive work. It kind of reminds me of photos I have seen of stretches of Norm Charbonneau's 3 rail layout, where if it wasn't for the stray extra rail you'd think it was a real outdoor scene. JDaddy has recently posted photos of that layout on this forum.

I was totally surprised that I could not find a single reference in the article about Harry's contributions to this layout. Maybe the layout owner forgot about it when he comprosed the material for his article. I know when CTT did our article, I made sure that Harry's beautiful contributions to our layout were mentioned front and center. Different strokes for different folks.

It would be nice to see Harry get the credit and promotion that he deserves.

Joe, I have no idea what drives some of the folks who have a quest to have their layouts published. My take, the more credit you can give to help those who made your layout special, the better. It demonstrates that you have good taste in selecting vendors who contribute to the success of your layout. I mentioned all of the vendors who helped us.
