With the recent announcements from Brooklin Models and their path forward, one can safely say that times are a changing. Simon and the Brooklin Models team are adjusting to current market conditions with the central theme of keeping the company on firm footing for the foreseeable future. This is just good management. Over the years in my professional career as a management consultant, such moves are nothing new to me. Those who properly adjust, tend to survive, others who do not, go away.
Appropriate changes often bring new opportunities for those who are savvy enough to take advantage of them. I see the announcements by Brooklin Models as a huge new opportunity for the NABCC. The first requirement is to have an organization that is pliable and receptive of changes when they make sense. We are so blessed to have the likes of John Kuvakas and Tom Kinney who have been part of Brooklin Model collecting community for many years and who most importantly have stayed current with this hobby. Compared to John and Tom, Emile and I are relative newcomers, but from our experience in building successful organizations, we all make up a dynamic team as we prepare to adjust to the new Brooklin game plan.
Since we began the NABCC just about one year ago, we have grown phenomenally. Why, good question. Our first model, the 1956 Buick Century Convertible was a big hit and sure helped us grow. John came up with this marvelous selection that could not have been better. We were innovative with a gift of a beautiful NABCC Street sign for all who purchased our Buick model. Thanks to Joe Nahhas who came up with this idea, we established Ambassadors for the countries our club serves. These Ambassadors helped us select our 2022 NABCC Club Car, the 1954 Packard Caribbean. Thanks to the hard work of John and several others, we held the first NB Center event in Allentown, PA, and by all accounts, a huge success. And then there is the fact that we listen to our members and answer all correspondence in a timely fashion. After all, our members make it all possible and we will never lose sight of this. Based on our growth, apparently many of you like what you see and experience and our future looks very promising and secure
The NABCC is now one of the three future sales sources for Brooklin Models and is a big plus for us. This cannot be underestimated as the impact for us will be huge. We are ideally poised to take full advantage of this new Brooklin Sales Program with what will be great future model selections that we know will be popular and we fully intend to do two all NEW models per year. The NABCC management folks do not sit still very long. We are looking down the road to be fully prepared to take advantage of all that Brooklin Models can offer us and the hobby in general. As an example, I am currently working on an exclusive license for the NABCC.
One can look at the future for Brooklin Models with optimism or the opposite. We chose to take the plus side and think the future belongs to those who are willing and READY top take advantage of it and rest assured, the NABCC is fully prepared to welcome each and every new opportunity (and all new members as well).
If you have yet joined the NABCC, this would be an excellent time to do it and be part of this wonderful growing organization. We fully intend to make your membership in the NABCC a terrific value in every respect. Great NABCC Club Models, Website, Forum, Facebook Group and wonderful membership support services.
