Had to make repairs to a few of the lighted trees on the upper level of the CIC. Hard to reach, but I got them working the way they should. I removed all, except for the lighted vehicles from 42nd Street, the 4-lane divided road in front of the GCT, to make room for the new fleet of taxi cabs that arrived yesterday. Hope to get them placed today. Should be a fun project.
We are getting a lot done on our "to-do" list as the supplies we need are finally coming in.

Since it wasn't raining today I was able to get some homasote strips cut for the yard area. Tomorrow hope to get a base coat of paint on and be done with that dusty mess for awhile!! Sure makes for a quiet ride though. Use a knife blade in your saw and you will get ZERO dust. I would have never believed it. Always wondered what the heck those blades were for when we bought a set of blades. Attachments:

Spent the day placing vehicles on 42nd Street. May not seem like a big deal, but there was over 120 of them.

"It sounds like a Miracle on 42nd Street."
One street up that feeds into the upper level of the GCT is 34th Street. And, there was a miracle there as well.

Working on installing front under layout shelves and lighting. We are using cool white strip lighting from Evan Designs. We used Dave’s LEDs for the front wall shelves a couple years ago with nary a problem.
As expected, I ran out of lights before finishing. Urgent business in Mexico prevented my ordering additional LEDs before we left. An order will go out tonight.
Pictures to follow when complete. The front of our train room is improving. We can’t figure out where to put all the stuff that we need/will need/are too trifling to take upstairs and bring back down.
Soon we will need underlayout lighting. What have you done for this?

Finished cutting homasote and painting base coat. Repaired two broke Ross switches and put back in place. Soldered in power drops for blocks 5 and 6 with hopes of getting that connected to the BPC's next week, and the monthly clean up of tools and excess parts. Or maybe that was the 6 month clean up???

Soon we will need underlayout lighting. What have you done for this? Bill, LED White Christmas tree lights. Stapled all through the underside with an single on/off switch. They aren't too bright so they don't blind you and you can move them closer to items you need to see clearly.

Bill for under layout lighting I think LED rope lights would do the trick.
