I watched my favorite train movie last night. It is Unstoppable with Danzel Washington. If you haven't seen it you are missing a great movie and really need to put that one on the list of must see. If you have seen it, I would love to know what you thought of it and if there is a better train movie out there that maybe I have missed.

I will definitely be checking out UNSTOPPABLE.
I would also recommend Murder on the Orient Express.

Unstoppable is a really good movie. I've seen it at least 2 times and will gladly watch it again.
I don't have a favorite train movie except maybe Four's a Crowd because of the large outdoor Lionel layout that is featured in it. The movie itself is good, not great, but it features an excellent cast that includes Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland, Rosalind Russell, Patric Knowles, Walter Connolly and Lionel trains. If you haven't seen it I recommend it. It's occasionally on the Turner Classic Movies channel.

The Train with Burt Lancaster is my favorite train movie The Incident is my favorite subway movie Both are steps back in time “Taking of Pelham 123” very cool. “The Train” closely followed by the “Emperor Of The North” are favorites. I haven’t watched all of “Unstoppable “ and the same with “Runaway Train” made many years ago. Lots of star power and entertaining… Tom

Here is a trailer for Unstoppable back in 2010. LOL, I see this movie everyday as it's on our drive-in at Corner Field Model Railroad Museum.
It's a good train movie. Some scenes though are adlibbed. But it's a decent movie. But for me, my 3 favorite train movies are - The Train, Emperor of the North & Polar Express.

Thanks for sharing the trailer Tom. I might just go watch it again tonight. If that trailer don't get you going you don't like action movies.

Interesting. My wifes brother works for UP, and he said he enjoyed it. Just 10 minutes ago got off the phone and asked him if he had ever seen it. One thing he said, "would catch me trying to jump on a moving engine".
