Post Photos or Video of your Pick. As much as I love the Big Boy, my call is still the Milwaukee Road EF / EP --- Just don't have a better photo of it on my layout. As I remember this numbering was A-C-B

Like I said I do love the Big Boy. These images were from its stop in West Chicago, IL in 2019. I bought the Rail King Imperial Version and sold it because it looked too small on my layout. I am waiting for the Premier "special" to arrive. This is quite an impressive engine. So why the EPs? - 1915 Milwaukee Road knew of the issues with steam running the northern boundaries of the US. Electrification solved many of the problems. Fast forward to today, more than 100 years later, and we are back to electric vehicles and even in the near future electric jets. IMO someone got this right 100 years ago and it just took that long to realize it. Jeff

Here’s more information from the 2022 PACIFIC CONFERENCE PROGRAM. OK, I'm convinced, Brian - but your choice (or one of them) is up against a BIG BOY (although not the VL version, which I would have voted for).

Andy, that is my goal, to get the voting public thinking. These are two very interesting locomotives.

Wow, I am surprised that the EF-2 is holding its own against Big Boy. Another tense competition!

After the public votes, and they go against real competition what's your plan then or haven't you thought that far ahead?

Wow, I am surprised that the EF-2 is holding its own against Big Boy. Another tense competition! Even though I have a Vision Line BB, its popularity rests a lot on its size and its not my favorite engine. Taking it from storage onto tracks to run is many times a hassle. Yes, BB is impressive and the detail is there, but not my most fun engine to run.
