Everyone knows what Lionel VL Hudson looks like as it has been in this tournament in previous years. Like me, some may not know what the RK RS-3 from Pat's Trains is. I looked it up. Here it is running on Charlie's layout.
Quite spectacular especially on Charlie's Layout!

The Hudsons are always a crowd pleaser. Not my favorite engine, but it will win this round.

Beautiful RS-3. Certainly deserves another look. I just did. I really don't have an open mind on some things but kstrains' video persuaded me, as Lake Superior (although inferior to Lake Michigan) is vaguely Midwestern.

My first pick was the Hudson since I am a Steam Guy, but Charlie's video, who is a member on OGF, made me think twice about my pick. The RS-3 is a very sharp looking diesel with Gloss paint scheme. Also, the engine on a great layout sure makes it more voteable if that is a word!

This is a very tough choice for me. I love the New York Central and I love Hudson Locomotives but this model is way too big to run on my layout. The RS-3 will run on my layout and it's very attractive but it's LS&I.
If the NYC Hudson was a Railking Imperial model this would be a no brainer, or if the RS-3 was NYC it would have my vote, but this is not so simple. Do I vote for the Hudson from my favorite railroad that won't run on my layout or the RS-3 in some strange livery because it will run on my layout? I have until 6 PM to make a decision.

IT'S OVERTIME!
Overtime Round 1
The Lionel Vison Line Scale NYC Hudson (black version) 10 + 4 = 14 v. The MTH Railking Scale LS&I RS-3 from Pat's Trains 7 + 3 = 10
