Here is video I recorded of Lionel Legacy NYC New York Central Empire State Express pulled by NYC 4-6-4 J3A Hudson #5426 flying by on Corner Field Model Railroad Museum & Hobby Shop in Huntsburg / Middlefield Ohio on Saturday November 23rd, 2019.
We are the largest family owned model railroad in the United States. So come out if you haven't seen our hobby shop & layout in person yet.

Nice video. I'd like to see the 7 car fly by! Bring on the 2-pack and the Station Sounds Diner.

Nice. I keep telling our club members that passenger trains ran fast during the steam era but they still run them at 30 smph. I don't and they always notice.

Nice. I keep telling our club members that passenger trains ran fast during the steam era but they still run them at 30 smph. I don't and they always notice. Passenger trains, especially name trains, would run at about 60-80 mph and most freight trains would run about 30-40 mph, some a lot slower. That said, I run my trains around 30 smph because I find that a comfortable speed. I enjoy that speed because I can get a good look at the locomotives and cars as they roll by. Once in a while I'll run a passenger train about 50 smph just for the fun of it, but that's the great exception.
