You can still ride a logging railroad in the area. The Sugar Pine railroad is still running as a tourist railroad. I filmed there a number of time but this is not the footage I shot, though it's nicely done. As most Broadcasting companies do, they dump most of my 36 years of film and video footage. Don

Thanks for posting an educational video about CA logging operations of the past. Operations like this have been long been forgotten but it is always nice to know about their history.

Roaring Camp in Santa Cruz still offers rides up the mountain. www.roaringcamp.com/ They have a few steam logging locos. I chaperoned a school trip there years ago and we road behind a shay.
