The show on 1/09/22 January at the New Jersey hirailers has been cancelled due the covid19 increase.

Sadly we seem to be going backwards re: COVID. And this train show cancellation is just the tip of the iceberg. Hard to believe that not even two months ago the Allentown ATMA show in mid-November was going gangbusters after an abysmal York dealer/member attendance. Omicron wasn't even on the horizon at the time (as I recall)... and hardly anyone was wearing masks at the show.
Now look where we are.

Yeah, I'm sure not the first. The Amherst show is at the end of the month, but I am expecting them to cancel as well, hope I am wrong. Haven't decided if I am going yet.

Given the demographics of attendees it’s the smart thing to do. Hopefully they can reschedule soon.

I am not exactly young but go anywhere at anytime. Barring any last minute change by the owners, I intend be at the Spring Thaw Show in Allentown next month.

Covid numbers are going up daily in my area. A few places have already gone back on some of the policy's. Some had mask order still in place but now put the temp check back in to effect. A few of the pharmacies relaxed the mask rule but put it back in.

If the Amherst show is not cancelled I plan on going(unless weather interferes), yes I'll mask up, I wore a mask @ the NABCC events and all day on Amtrak and in NYC recently and while its not ideal, to me its better than not going. Now Im thinking I should have gone to the Syracuse Train show but that was the same weekend I went to Corner Field Museum and Stockyard Express so I decided to skip it thinking I'd would be going to Amherst . If people have health issues then crowds should be avoided. I skipped a local train show recently, my neighbor went and said it was dead. Not many vendors or people so I'm glad I didn't go. I haven't looked @ a vendor list for Amherst yet.
