Very impressive additions, Jake. The store window was a wonderful achievement.

I’m pretty sure I added 3 Lionel auto carriers earlier this year but I bought the cars they are carrying this fall. I think these cars are way, way, way better than the cars Lionel supplies.

Good idea, Joe, about adding the cars separately.

I did it. Went down to the basement to do a sort of inventory of what I added to the collection in 2021. I got through the engines and that was enough to reinforce my 2022 resolution to buy less and focus my train dollars on what I really want and need. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy what I added in 2021, but boy, I added a lot, at least to my taste. Here they are, in no particular order. MTH Premier GP-40 B&M - My favorite 2021 engine purchase. Awesome detail and sound. Lionel LionChief 2.0 SantaFe Berkshire - This Lionel from their lower end LionChief line really surprised me. Lots of fun and a regular on my tracks. Menards Beta 1 Engine - Probably the one train from my 2021 purchases that is going to sit on the shelves. Really a smart and interesting direction for Menards and I know they have a hit on their hands if they continue. Problem is this train has a poor low speed control and the horn sounds is not so good (crew talk is great though) making it not so fun for me to run. Hoping their BETA 3 has fixed those issues. Probably going to sell it at some point. MTH Railking General - Very early MTH PS1 train. Solid runner, OK smoke, sounds are limited but I still really like this one. I have soft spot for Generals. MTH Railking E-6 ACL - Very spur of the moment purchase at a local train show. It was a good price and I thought it looked good. I run it sometimes with SantaFe silver passenger cars behind it. Someday I hope to find ACL Passenger cars for it. MTH Railking RS3 NYC - RS3 is my favorite type of diesel engine. Something about switchers that I really like. I pull my Menards NYC box cars behind it. Need to get a caboose. This engine is a winner in my book. I also have a Lionel LionChief Plus RS-3 in B&M. MTH Railking Inland Steel SW1 - Really love the color scheme, but what really surprised me about this engine is how well it pulls and sounds. Just a neat little workhorse switcher.

Quite a nice lineup of purchases. The real sleeper here is the ACL diesels. They are so good looking.
