Things I like about this Christmas layout - The moving Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. Starts at about the 2 minute mark and overhead shot of it moving at about 5:30. I love finding different ways people add movement to their layouts. What a unique idea.
- A great mixture of many Menard's buildings we all recognize with Department 56 Christmas in the City
- An impressive collection of the CIC brownstones side-by-side
- Great lighting, great audio, and just a great video. I bet his grandkids love how he added them into the video.

I rarely finish my Christmas layout before Christmas and often wait until takedown time in February before taking pictures. So my posts are always a year or two late. This is my Christmas layout from 2019 and one of my favorites of the ones I've done. I carved the mountain out of layered 2 inch pink foam. The trains are the Polar Express, the Santa Fe, and the Hallmark Toymaker Santa's Express. The upper level is a ski village with a skating rink, a lake for ice fishing, and a small town serving the skiers. To the left of that are ski cabins for lodging. The lower level is largely track with a transportation hub serving the village. It has a train station, a gas station, and gondolas taking people to the upper level for their ski vacation. It's hard to capture it all without posting 100 pictures. I think I should start taking videos in order to try to capture everything.

Your stonework is very impressive, northstar. So is your layout and Christmas Tree. Well done and Merry Christmas.

Just watched Babes in Toyland with Laurel & Hardy. A bit corny but March of the Wooden Soldiers always gets me. Attachments:

My wife collects Byers Choice carolers. She has over 350. Most of them are out for Christmas.
