You will have to get permission from Santa to run a Catenary System at the North Pole, Bill. Not sure about this as sparking overhead wires may not be something that Santa wants. CT Balsam's Construction Company may also have to be involved. But, I do have as idea for you. You can use the Bi-Polar for the first leg and then change it out with the 1225. That way, no wires at the North Pole. Nice purchase despite the complications. Did you and Paula consult CT?

Actually, Paula handled most of this transaction thus I am not sure who she consulted. This is a special model of the Chinese produced Bi-polar which features an experimental lithium battery tied in with the latest quantum computer that was announced about a month ago. The power is something like 500,000,000 times faster than the Google announcement of 2019.
The gist of all this is that the solar power will create a net gain for the Bi-polar and nothing is required at the Pole. The railroad has agreed to donate surplus power to the N P Cooperative to benefit the Benevolent Order of Former Growers Association. When Santa signed the agreement with your buddy, over 1,000 elves became unemployed which at the N Pole is guaranteed by the coalition.
This kind of thing is pretty normal for commodity growers world-wide. The rich make out like bandits and everyone else is harmed.

I just came across a deal today. New in box A-B-A Wabash F-3 2240 by Williams. These are from before Jerry sold Williams Trains to Bachmann Trains. Total of $165.91 shipped and S.C. tax paid. I actually won them for $99 the rest was shipping and tax.
Got it in the other day. The power A-unit has been run, the Dummy A was not run by the looks, and the B unit was still in it's sealed box. Still very happy for what I paid.

Excellent points bill, well thought out. But, but, but, what is not considered is something that is very important and why the annual trip to the North Pole is successful each and every year. The track system leading to the North Pole is very fragile and goes over some of the most unstable terrain. Just consider Ice Lake. The weight of the Bi-Polar tips the scale at over 560,000 lbs. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The powerful Berkshire comes in at less than half the weight. I am afraid that the first trip to the North Pole, your new Bi-Polar will become a rather expensive anchor (you know about these).
But there is some good news in all of this. I think the Bi-Polar is best used as a public relations tool. It can make excursion runs through your cities and towns and spread the good word about "BELIEVE". It won't have the majesty of the actual North Pole Christmas Eve run, but it will serve some purpose. Now that should make you feel better.

You just don’t seem to understand. As a matter of fact, you are not even close.
This engine is not intended for the North Pole run. Whoever dreamed that up?
We have black and gold berks that routinely make the Pole run. As traditionalists of the first order, we would never allow the Bipolar to go there. What a horrible break in tradition that would be. The gold berk was change enough.
But listen carefully. This is a Chinese produced engine. It uses the most advanced techniques, materials, and propulsion, The use of the lithium quantum drive has reduced overall weight to less than 50,000 pounds. As I explained to you, once charged, the engine’s induction processes actually charge the lithium anodes and funnel excess power to the triple-generational bipod field that surrounds the photo evictor for the entire consist. According to the latest tests, the system operated at low power exits sufficient power to supply a city of 100,000 persons. There are no emissions and sound is below 50 db at max power. Just imagine a quiet whoosh.
Speed has not been divulged and actually I do not think they have been able to calculate it but the lowest power setting emulates over 500,000k mjx on the quantum a23 scale. At this rate, the biggest problem is atmospheric heat generation... think the space shuttle.
I hope that you now understand something of the processes involved. This is a bit above C T’s pay grade.

Above CT's pay grade and most of us, you bet. But I am impressed with your research. At least it is good to know that the Bi-Polar will never make a North Pole run. We can all sleep better tonight.

A late Christmas Present from Jenni -----
My Log Loader has disappeared from it's resting place for 30 years - have no idea why that just upped and left. I was and am upset over this.
Jenni bought me a replacement - and I'm thrilled. She is definitely a keeper......
Thank god I moved my Bascule Bridge to the Train Attic when I did.....

Received my Lionel C44-9W today. Hopefully I'll be able to run it and get a video soon. Still working on our remodel job!
I do have a question I'm hoping a few of you experienced fellars can answer. I ordered this engine because it was listed it could negotiate 036 curves. After reading through the manual it states it needs 054 curves when coupled to some freight cars. It says 036 with most scale cars. How well do you think it will do on my 042 curves with my Menards freight cars??
I know I could find out by trying it. I'm hoping to get an answer before using the engine.

Ordered this a few days ago. I am a Rutgers alumni and jumped on this offering when I saw it. It is actually advertised in the latest CTT supplemental "Families and Electric Trains" magazine. We were in the book store this weekend and I saw this magazine and the advertisement on the back cover. The best part is 50 percent of the cost is considered a donation and is tax deductible. Anyone else have trains that are decorated in your school or favorite team?

I have a drive way that goes from one street to another ( I live on a corner ) and no gates to block entrance. I have a power board and rail sounds board that was to be delivered yesterday, states it waiting to be scanned, I haven't gotten letter mail since Saturday. I did get two packages delivered at 9:40 P.M. on Tuesday.
