Makes a nice looking freight train. Also like the F4U Corsair protecting it from above.

I'd been looking for a few older-era freight cars for my recently acquired Lionel 2-8-0 Consolidation to pull. Found this K-Line on eBay very cheap with sliding doors and metal sprung trucks. Goes well behind the Consolidation's Vandy tender.

Well one is already apart to add coil/Electro-couplers and the other is still in it's sealed box. But I bought new in box, 18221 & 18222 Lionel with Tmcc D&RG SD-50's Black with gold markings.
The other one is 5517, once I get the parts in, I will decided if I want to open it up and add the couplers or not.

Don, the B&M boxcars look great. I like Menards boxcars. They are a very good value for the price.
Vern, that K-Line boxcar looks great. Sometimes you can get K-Line traditional size boxcars at bargain prices. I'm not sure why they sell so cheap. They are very nice cars.
RT, very nice Rio Grande diesel.
Great purchases guys.
I was visiting a friend today and we stopped in a local hobby store that was having a 40% off Lionel sale. The store is mostly RC and had very little in the way of trains but I picked up a two pack of Lionel airplanes to make some flat car loads.

Thank you, Joe. That’s what I’ve found with K-Line and some Lionel as well. I check eBay’s O scale freight cars periodically and find some really inexpensive deals, usually NIB with metal sprung trucks.
By the way, awesome Beech Bonanzas. 👍

Thanks Joe, at some point plan on running them back to back. There identical except for the numbers.

Spice, nice freight consist there. Who made the Corsair model? Tom

They're the same size as my other O scale cars I use for the Consolidated's freight to pull. The one on the siding in the rear is the new K-Line. The other two in front of it are Lionel. A few weeks ago, I spotted a NIB O scale Lionel blue Erie boxcar with sliding doors and metal sprung trucks that I got for a grandson for just. $6.71 plus $8.70 for shipping. Not bad. 😉

Nice cars. They look scale but I wasn’t sure from the pictures. The EL car was a real bargain!

Just received my Lionel Boston and Maine from Trainworld. Nice colors and sound. Thick railings. I need to remove the shell as a wire is sticking out.😫
