I have had this MTH 150 ton wrecker in my stash for a while. I finally picked up the matching boom tender to go with it. I wanted to “upgrade” the boom car with some small details and paint. I added six stirrups and a couple grab irons. Then I painted the many handrails to make them stand out a bit. The wrecker will get some added detail and paint and then I plan to weather both pieces… Tom

Good looking set - I've never seen them together. I guess my layout needs one...

Thanks guys.
They are interesting pieces of equipment to have, but how often do they get out on the mainline? Most often they are for show, parked near the engine house.
I have a few cranes as they are of a particular interest to me. They are mainly a interesting focal point if you have the room to park one…

I don’t have an engine house or service tracks but I have a Railking crane and tender set. I run it on the layout every once in a while just to run something different.
