I don’t have to mention where this comment was made or who posted it, our members are smart folks and can easily figure this out. For me, it is the absolute height of arrogance and hypocrisy.
Many of us have moved off that platform because of our personal experiences as we like to think that we have strong principles that if something doesn’t look or feel right, it is time to move on. But now to learn that our actions are some kind of “self-exile” just reinforces the fact they just don’t get it and probably never will so long as they are still around. Some may dismiss this as just a poor choice of words, and yes it is, but when you boil it down, it translates to pure arrogance.
Good luck on this one for anyone trying to defend these words.

Yes. I am getting notes from a few people that were associated with me that they are now removed from the forum... Guilt by association I call it.
Time to move on in life.

You know I don't care what any of the so called management at that other place says or do. I never let people like that to interfere in my life, yes they may be arrogant but to me they are nothing but another annoyance of life and Worthy of being ignored.
After 20+ years over there helping others, and being helped by some great posters i will not let others define who I am. If you are part of that group and like friendships, talking about trains or just life in general please give OGF a try and help grow us into the forum you always wanted.

For one to believe that one heavily commercial forum has it all, is the foundation of arrogance. I make it a point to always act respectful and never talk ill of others, but reporting a true and honest experience should always be an acceptable part of forum posts. Over here we have a great team of people who have started and run this forum for the exclusive use of the collector, operator or model railroad enthusiast.
On this forum:
1 We have the opportunity to share in the free and open exchange of ideas and views on model railroading
2. Honest opinions on value and price can be posted. 2. Issues on product quality and performance can be discussed
3. Problems facing manufacturers and their products can be sited
4. *It is permissible to recommend and post favorable reviews on alternative products not sold by the forum advertisers 5. and....this is a forum that doesn't sell the membership email address list to advertisers for profit. (The other forum has caused my email inbox to fill up with spam advertising. Its terrible)
This is why hobbyists join this forum.
Model railroaders need to decide for themselves if they wish to join a forum that allows only posts based upon content that is only favorable to a business plan or one started by and run by model railroader's, who's only interest is the membership itself. If I may be permitted one blunt comment; the other forum has little value for myself.
