I bet there is a lot of pent up demand from members who have had two years to look forward to this Meet. No matter who is or who is not attending.
We sure would be there if we were able to do so. I am happy for those who get to spend quality time with friends and trains.

In addition there was no shuttle running between the halls. Also missing were several food trucks near the silver and blue halls.
While crowds seemed normal merchandise was less than usual. Member halls had about 20% empty tables.
It was definitely a different York

I don't agree that 50% of the dealers were not there.

Not even near 50% and to be honest I didn't miss them. I bought from the ones that did attend, their loss if they didn't attend.

I discussed this with a number of Vendors. There was a universal feeling that attendance would be low and that is what kept many Vendors away. Many of the Vendors that made an appearance left their “high-end” merchandise at home due to similar fears.
Happily, the Vendors that did come were pleasantly surprised and most sold lots of stuff.

Nope, did not miss them. There were plenty of goods to be found and at a great price. I asked when paying my dues about registered TCA member numbers... There were a little over 9,000 pre registered people for York. On Thursday and Friday there were long lines of people renewing there badges. The parking lot on Thursday A.M. was very packed. Little Joe from Nicholas Smith was doing VERY well. Trains 4u sold all of his subway sets. And Mr. Muffins was selling his stock as well. My surprise was standard gauge. The prices were so-so and if you snooze you lose was a major player... I have never seen it disappear so quickly...
