My 2021 Christmas Layout build has begun! Late last weekend I started the build. It will be 3 levels. The Floor level and the 2nd level, which you see in my photos below and then 3rd level which will be built later in October. I have already made some changes to my track plan which is the difference in the 2 photos below. This is due to clearance issues with the difference size curves in running trains through the bridges. I switched from using tubular track to Fastrack on outer curve on the 2nd level. More work planned for the build this weekend with adding LED lighting on the floor level. Last Sunday Today's photo with change to FastTrack on the 2nd Level. Glad to see FFF Weekend Thread back! Let see some great Train photos this weekend!! Have a good weekend everyone!

Ken, you might think of reversing the two bridges. The open trestle may not be as obstructive to the view if it was in the front.

To, shortly after Elizabth and I were married, we undertook a big renovation project for the layout. It was a big improvement. The photo is after this work.
We did not have the same available space with our new layout, but once again we combined our talents to make use of every square inch we had available.
I do miss the water scene, though.

Tom and Brian, your layouts show what can be done in the hobby at a top level. Both of you approach layout building differently, but both do a fantastic job! Here one of mine.

NABCC member John Kuvakas is on a cruise and the port-of-call today was Nassau. John took this photo when he was shocked to see that their Public Works Department has recently erected this Street Sign. Boy, the residents of Nassau have very good taste.

You & my family must have combined brains LOL!! That's exactly what we did with our museum layout. Any open space we had or could use, we made buildings or structures fit and when their was limited items, we put grass and trees to fill the areas.

My favorite layout photo has always been this one were as I was getting ready to run my layout, I accidentally didn't plan things right and had a traffic jam of a couple of freight and a passenger train not able to make it on time to the station because I forgot to move the freight engine to the planning stage for an engine switch-out with an incoming engine.
That happens rarely with my card system, but human error, me the dispatcher. I forgot the engine was still under the sand dome.
