The Sunday Movie Matinee is a departure from the typical layout videos and a way to explore other Hobby related content. Some of these are longer, many, but not all are professionally done and frequently they show things You may not have considered.
This weeks recommendation for the Sunday Matinee is a narrated walking tour of the interior of Grand Central Terminal in New York. There are lots of interesting facts and images you may not have seen. I hope you enjoy it and I hope you will recommend your favorite Sunday Movie.

Fantastic video Emile! If Cheryl and I ever visit GCT I will have to get her to wear an electronic ankle monitor as it would take me days to find her. LOL.

Excellent video despite being filmed on a fairly bleak day weather-wise!

One of my favorite things to show people in the GCT are the “Whisper Arches” near the entrance to the Oyster Bar (Shown in the video). Whisper into any of the wall corners and a person in the diagonal corner can hear your words, plain as day. It’s an amazing scientific phenomenon.

What a great video. Just think of the video we would be watching if they didnt stupidly knock down Pennsylvania Station.

What a great video. Just think of the video we would be watching if they didnt stupidly knock down Pennsylvania Station. According to the narrator, it sounds like Grand Central Terminal had been considered for destruction to make way for the sale of Air Rights to the property. That would have been a tragedy of epic proportions. What a shame that Penn Station was lost to the wrecking ball. Emile

Excellent video Emile, thanks for posting it. Even though I've been to GCT numerous times I didn't know about the whispering arches.
One thing he didn't show was that in addition to the food court restaurants there are sit down restaurants. He did note that it is pricey, but it's Manhattan and everything is pricey.

Finally got to watch the entire video. What a treat for the folks who love the GCT. With all of the renovations, it is a world class terminal.
Really special for me as I enjoy my GCT model as the cornerstone of the CIC side of the layout.
Thanks for finding and posting thie video, Emile.
