I'm not sure how to give a short descriptive name to these unique Boxcar designs. They are mirror images, maybe. reverse images possibly. Or two faced. Maybe 3-D. I'll call them "Double Duty." The example below was produced by MTH and sold as single items. There are not different road numbers available and this Boxcar doesn't even have a road number. What it does have is the presentation of the same scene as viewed through a window from the inside and the outside of house. The Yellow side is the inside of the house and the Red side is the view from outside. I don't think I would have noticed this if I hadn't accidentally purchased two of them and then put them on my layout in alternating style. I've since done a little research and found a few (very few) other examples of the same effect. All where by MTH and all were Christmas Boxcars. I think its a great design concept and also would encourage people to buy two of every Boxcar. I wonder why there aren't more like this. Or are there? Have you seen any other "Double Duty" Boxcars? That is a clever idea, two boxcars in one. I have never seen any others but I like it a lot.

It took me a few to spot it. That was a cool idea.

Emile, that is also a beautiful photo. Love the background trees and the sky view. It is nice to have a photo shoot spot on your layout. Good planning.
