I recently added a Menards building (Sauerkraut Factory) to my layout. The packaging says to power it with Menards adapter #2794061, which outputs 4.5v 1000mA. Would the adapter below be a comparable and safe substitute?

Menards just wants you to buy theirs. That's fine, but theirs is not exclusive to their buildings.

The one you are considering is rated at 1 amp. You could use splitters and power many buildings with that one wall wart.

Menards sells a wiring pack that includes splitters and extension cords.
