This summer I had a number of train adventures which included a visit Lionel Retail Store in Concord, NC, North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC, Tennessee Valley Train Museum in Chattanooga TN, IL Train Museum and seeing the BigBoy come through the Chicago area. As I have been waiting for the launch of OGF, I have been looking forward to sharing some of my Summer Train Adventures here on this forum.
Below is video of a Cab ride I took on N&W 620 GP9, at North Carolina Train Museum in Spencer, NC. Nothing like taking a train ride under the beautiful Carolina Blue Skies! NCTM is one of my favorite railroad museums because of the Southern Railroad being on display there. Enjoy the ride on the N&W 620 and my visit to NCTM!
Have Photos and Videos of your Summer Train Adventures? Please share them here! This can be running O'Gauge trains, riding trains, and rail-fanning, or anything train related.

Kstrains, that is a well done video. Your skill at video making sure makes me want to see a video of the Big Boy.
Impressive view of the NC Museum. I'd love to go there. The museum looked quiet. I hope that is not normal.

I hope that is not normal. The day I visited the museum was a Thursday AM before Labor Day so not many people at the museum. It was nice not to have too many there but the weekend probably has a fair number of people that visit.

Great job KEN!!! Was it your Birthday? I saw the Happy Birthday sign in the cab. It was the engineers Birthday that day. However, that would have been a great way to celebrate a birthday!

Gary, Excellent video! I really Enjoyed watching it. The Mountain scenery is beautiful! I would like to take a train trip through the Mountains in open air cars! Watching them put the engine into the round house was really cool to see. Thanks for sharing!

There’s two tourist lines in New England I really highly recommend this the Conway Scenic railroad in NH and Essex valley railroad in CT

On our trip to the Carolina's this past August, I made a very quick stop at Legacy Station within the out skirts Atlanta, GA. I could not stay long in the hobby shop as my wife was keeping track of time as we needed to get on to see some family for lunch in Georgia! I only had 30 minutes, but I pushed it to 40 minutes! I had to see everything in the shop at least 2 times before leaving! My wife was patient with me as she kept looking at her watch! However, I have been wanting to see this hobby shop for some time. I got to admit my expectation were some what high for this hobby shop, but I left a little disappointed. I was under the impression this was a very large hobby shop with lots of O'Gauge. Supposedly, this shop is in the top 10 Lionel Hobby shops for sales. They had nice Lionel inventory. My disappointment came in not seeing much of anything for MTH Premier rolling stock or O'Gauge engines on the shelves. Not that I was looking for anything in particular, but I always like looking and I thought they would have more of a selection. However, they did have a nice selection of Department 56 buildings and accessories. I did pick up 2 more buildings for my Christmas layout. One was 50% off and other a new building for this year was 20% off. They also had a very nice layout in a dedicated room. It had winter/Christmas Theme with Dept 56 buildings, Halloween Theme, and a "Southern" city within one layout. It was very interactive with push buttons for kids to play with. I always like seeing a layout in a hobby shop especially a good built one which this one definitely exceeded those expectations!
