Have a Legacy MP GP35 6-38988, when I use the horn with legacy controller ,or in conventional with a transformer while it is moving it kills all sound. If it is idling it will make a fading horn sound but won't kill the sound completley. Only when the horn is pressed is there an issue. The bell works fine. I have to shut it down and start it again for sound to come back after using horn with it moving.Never had it apart.

Joe, I have allot of legacy diesels. I have never seen this characteristic. I know the new H10's are having sound issues with the chuff distorting and fading out. I would say try a factory reset. If no joy then get an RA number and ship her back. I have noticed that Lionel has gone to this new board with a new support sound chip that has to be flashed. My gut feeling is there are having issues with the calibration of the software or the board itself.

Well after e mailing goldinhands about it and deciding if I wanted to order a sound board myself or send it to Ed( he has several he is working on already) and have him look at it ,or send it to Lionel which I really don't want to do. I ran it today and hit the horn button a couple times and it was fine. I will keep running it until issue happens again, there is no reset I can do. I've been in my tmcc units and williams units but haven't been in a Legacy yet (no issues so far).I'll probably just get the sound board my self and do it if it happens again. I like my GP35, dont want it to be down to long- its my go to engine

I need some help also. I bought a Lionel 6-18221 D&RG SD-50. This item has the Liontech system in it. I'm trying to figure out how to hook-up electro-couplers to it. I will enclose some pics and what I think is the spot but do not know for sure. I was sent a print of where to hook up on a early TMCC set up ( which I know how to do) but this is a different system. It does not have D,E,C,&F as suggested.
the above doesn't seem to help. Here is what I have, first picture will be where I think I need to connect it, It's the two bras prongs to the left of the red wires ( front and rear lights )
actually the second pic in the second row shows the area more clearly
