If the Governor has is way and the variant gets worse he may recommend the mask mandate and closing of all nonessential business till the end of the year.
If that is the case there will be no York in October. From what the medical community is saying that the variant could be worse than last year. Hard to believe, yes but this could be real bad especially for those not vaccinated.
My doctor has already warned me not to take any chances even though I have been vaccinated and above all wear a mask anywhere I go.

As of yesterday our work place has mandated wearing of mask and also urging people to work from home. It appears that if you are fully vaccinated this Delta variant is just as bad.... I am hoping my gym - Planet Fitness does not close and the schools remain open... to early to tell.

Lets just hope that Gov. Wolf is more reasonable this time around. If we have to wear masks inside the buildings we will just have to do it. If York is cancelled, there is always next April. Lets hope not!

But will Gov Wolf require vaccination proof is the bigger question if York proceeds.
The overall Covid situation seems fluid at the moment.

Who knows what will be going on in two months. I’m a mask wearing, card carrying vaccinatee (is that a word?) if that’s what Tommy Wolf wants.

If it doesn't get cancelled I won't be making it. April is not looking real good either.

Good info Brian, if things Go well and the gov stays out of it the show should go on.
But the gov has gave no indication of what he is going to do so don't get your hopes up just yet.

Dave, I’m not sure the Pa. governor, or any governor, would have the wherewithal or the support to mandate shutdowns again. Any shutdown would probably be done by individual venues and the York Fairgrounds along with the TCA Eastern Division seems to be ready to proceed with the event.
Additionally, I predict things will change for the better as soon as the vaccines receive FDA approval in the coming weeks. Hopefully more people will get the vaccine then and curb the virus spread. We need to carry on with our lives and release our fears.

I hope to have the booster shot before York, but either way I will be there for the entire week, and you guys know how old I am. The next York could be my last. Can't wait. 33 days.

I won't be going to York next month after all. I will be at home helping my wife deal with her mum. We hadn't even talked about it; I just decided to cancel on my own. I hope this York meet is a great one for everyone who can attend. I will miss seeing everyone.
