I understand that 90% of the tables outside at the Wyndham are sold out. That's great news.

Our Badges from April 2020 are locked and loaded. We have the flight booked (arriving at BWI Tuesday the 19th then driving to The Vortex of Fantasy!).Hotels are booked (3 of them in 3 different cities). The car rental is in place.Daily schedules are filling in.Suitcases are ready and waiting to be filled (I hope it won't be cold that week!)I can taste the scrapple at Round The Clock Diner already! (and the Taylor pork roll). Can't wait to walk the aisles of those colorful Halls!Looking forward to seeing my UPS friends again. We can't wait for a cheesesteak and chocolate milkshake at Latucca's! (we miss living in the area to take home a Stromboli on Saturday) Not sure we'll be going to a Flyers game, 4 tickets would equal a Legacy engine! But we will be seeing my daughter. We're leaving on a jet plane for home Monday the 25th.On Tuesday the 26th, Post York Syndrome sets in. (but it is soothed when UPS delivers my York goodies in a few days!)
I'M REALLY REALLY GETTING EXCITED!!!!!! C'MON EVERYONE WHO'S GOING.......

I have a house appraisal on the 19th. After that the depression starts to set in. I really wanted to meet the OGF group. Hopefully next April will work out.
Brian - thankyou for waking me up with all your noise!

I've never been to York, but all the chatter's got me interested. Sounds like a great time. A York Meet Primer? I was looking for exactly that! Can't make it this year, but I'll read up and plan for for next year. Hope everyone going has a good and safe trip!

Never been to York but have been to Amherst so imagine this is just a much bigger version of that. Maybe in the spring.

Never been to York but have been to Amherst so imagine this is just a much bigger version of that. Maybe in the spring. Adam, I've been to both Amherst and York and they are comparable in size. York is a bit bigger. The big difference is that Amherst has all scales well represented and for sale, plus most vendors, maybe all, are professionals. O gauge has a good presence at Amherst but is definitely a minority.
York is mostly O gauge with quite a bit of S, G, Standard gauge as well as others but O is the great majority. The member halls have lots of non-professional vendors selling used trains and accessories at fair prices.
I think Amherst is a better train show overall. I enjoyed seeing all the layouts in different scales and almost always found O gauge goodies that came home with me, however York is a much, much, much better O gauge show. There is so much O gauge for sale and so many different train items it boggles the mind.

York is more than just a train meet for us. We are there my daughter and me for a full week. We go to the antique shops on route 30 between Gettysburg and Lancaster. We check out all the Christmas Tree shops. We go to Strasburg, to the tca Museum. Eat lunch at Isaac's. Do the Amish country. We check out the antique malls in Red Lion. We also check out all the outlets in Lancaster, and there are tons of them. We eat at some great restaurants. OH! and we do trains, all the bandit shows Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, and York fairgrounds on Thursday and Friday. In all, it is a great vacation week. We have done this at least 80 times since 1977. We drive 500 miles each way form Maine to York.

Only the member hall layout of the tables are linked on the ED website. Hopefully they’ll be populated for the dealer halls this week. If not we’ll just have to wait for the printed layout at the doors.
