The First Annual OGF ZOOM CHRISTMAS PARTY is scheduled for this Saturday, December 19th @ 7:00PM (Eastern Time). Everyone is invited, bring the spouses too. We’ll start with a Christmas Cookie Exchange. Everyone will make their own Cookies and we have a chance to show your creation to the group. This will be followed by Cookie eating, Egg Nog and casual conversation. Once everyone has had plenty of Holiday cheer we will hold a “Greedy Christmas”. The Forum will provide the gifts under the tree and everyone who participates will receive a gift. At the end we will ask everyone to state 3 words that describe the Party and then we will sign off. It’s guaranteed to be a lot of fun. Our Resident Zoom Expert Adam will walk you through the Zoom meeting process ahead of time if it’s your first time (Just send him a private message) and I’m sure you’ll find it is very easy to navigate. Not a fan of eggnog ... I'll have to come up with an alternative.

If there was a way to get egg nog to everyone, I would make it. My Grandad’s recipe makes 2+ gallons and is some kinda good. This year we do not plan to make any due to the Covid problem; I will try to print the recipe and put it on the forum. Another casualty appears to be Paula’s tipsy cake. We have not gotten the Christmas bowl down.

Special Thanks to JDaddy for suggesting this Party in the first place. It’s a great idea.
This will be an Open House but I want to make sure to have enough gifts for the Greedy Christmas so I need an approximate head count. I’ll update this list as people RSVP in this thread.
So far the likely attendees are:
(JDaddy) John (PTC) Brian and Elizabeth (TheBigCrabCake) Emile and Jennifer (Adam) Adam (MichRR714) Charlie (Bill Webb) Bill and Paula (RJ3rail) R.J. (anjdevil2) Rich (rtraincollector) William (Laz57) George and (Maybe Pam) (Josef) Walter (Charlie) Charlie

Thanks Emile. Just for point of reference as the gifts are selected, I have been an especially good boy this year but I am sure Santa already gave you that insight.

Thanks Emile. Just for point of reference as the gifts are selected, I have been an especially good boy this year but I am sure Santa already gave you that insight. We'll be playing the "GREEDY CHRISTMAS" game to pass out the gifts. Everyone will receive a number assigned at random during the Party. Whoever is assigned #1 goes first. The game works like this: • #1 selects a gift from the pile (That will be shown on my Screen), We will open it, and shows it to everyone. That is #1’s gift unless it gets stolen. • #2 can choose to steal #1's gift (thus the name: "Greedy Christmas") or pick from the pile. This continues with each person having the chance to steal an unwrapped gift or choose a wrapped gift. The stealing and scheming now begins to get good! • A gift can be stolen not more than twice during the game and only once per turn. If your gift is stolen, you can't steal it right back. You have to steal another gift or choose from the pile. • When there are no more unwrapped gifts, the game is over

I can't sign up. Every time I try the screen jumps all over the place. It doesn't get along with tablets. So I'm going to pass. I don't have the patience to deal with this.

Sound like fun Emile, I will do my best to be there. I'm driving back from Seattle (to Chicago) and we are expected back on Saturday, not sure about the time.

I have told the very vivacious and beautiful Ms. Jenni and she is EXCITED to be there with us.
We will be having the Z, N scale layouts running and the O gauge Mopar Express under the tree will be in operation.....

Denny, I am happy to help you get up and working if you like. Shoot me a private message and we can arrange some time to get this figured out.
