A companion thread to yesterday's steam engine subjectm what is your favorite diesel engine?
Mine, hard choice between teh MTH Sante Fe F3's with the red warbonnet and the plated sides or the 3rd Rail Yellow Warbonnets, alos with plated sides. But, the Red Warbonnest are simply the best ever done in our hobby, so they get the nod.

My Lionel 2356 PWC Southern F3s. My dad has the originals so these hold a special place for me. Dad's on the left, mine on the right.

BINGO!!!! Mine too. With what MTH did with these beauties, and everyone that sees them running on my layout with the plated passenger set this is my best looking set hands down.

I really don't have a big enough lineup to answer either thread but hey even the small guy gets his voice heard here. I would have to say my Lionel Legacy CSX/Clinchfield AC6000. It looks great, has performed flawlessly and will pull a ton of cars.

While I have had diesels on my pike in the past. I would say the 3rdrail F3 ABA set I have on order. After that, 3drail GP7/9 and maybe a RS3 in Rutland.

Unquestionably, you will like them, Gary. My F7's are top notch.

Gary, here is the 3rd Rail F7. Different road name, but the quality, no doubt the same.

Brian, you have asked a question that is very hard for me to answer. From what we have so far I would have to say each and everyone is special. In the future I may be able to say the Southern RR Tennessean E5 if and when we grab one.
Gary.

Look for it at the York Meet, particularly the Member Halls.

Can't decide, but it would be either the B&M F-3 A-A pair or the B&M RS-3. Both are a ton of fun to run.
