As promised, here is my Christmas train layout/video featuring a Lionel Polar express set, MTH Canadian Pacific set with extras, a trolley, and a snowman handcar. The theme is "The Nutcracker". I finished ahead of my projected Thanksgiving deadline. Hope you enjoy! Don't forget to subscribe and share my channel. I do a different layout for every holiday.

Very festive and does an excellent job in spreading joy through a model train Christmas layout.

Wonderfully done! That got me in the Christmas Spirit!
Unfortunately, the work meeting I had right after I watched it took me right out of it. :-(

Great video, Ed, and a great Christmas layout. You've packed a lot of action and Christmas decorations into a small area.👍

I agree that you packed in quite a lot of Christmas whimsy into a small area. This is how it's done. At first I thought you got the new lighted Fastrack until I looked closer and saw the light strands. Similar effect. I also like the mountain backdrop -- did you make it or buy it? I really like how you and Emile film with full lighting so every detail can be seen. So many people film their layouts with the lights off, meaning you can't really see everything well.

Thanks for watching northstar. It is a challenge to do something different every year on a 4'x8'. The mountain backdrop was bought online. There is a different picture on the other side but I like the mountains. I think the company that sold them went out of business. I tried to get another one but couldn't find them. Glad I got 2 when I did. Yes Emile has been a big help in giving me great advice with certain things. And you both are right about doing the video with the lights on. It really helps with seeing all the details. I did try and do it with different lighting this year but the quality/details were off so I redid it. I really want to get a Gimble. Emile says they are awesome and will help with stabilization. I'm hoping Santa brings me one for Christmas this year.
